A Sales Associate in accessories retail drives revenue by providing exceptional customer service, performing up-selling and cross-selling (e.g., matching jewelry, bags, or scarves to outfits), managing inventory, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. They process transactions on the point-of-sale (POS) system, manage stock, and assist in creating a welcoming, fashionable store atmosphere. 


Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Sales: Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide styling advice to maximize sales through up-selling accessories.
  • Visual Merchandising & Stock: Ensure products are well-displayed, shelves are replenished, and the store is clean according to brand standards.
  • Transactions: Accurately handle cash register operations, returns, and exchanges.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and replenish inventory; assist in inventory counts.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of accessory materials, trends, and product Care.

Qualification

  • Experience: Previous retail sales experience is preferred.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build customer relationships.
  • Appearance: Professional appearance and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Mobility: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Typical Physical Demand & Common Requirements

  • Standing for long periods, lifting, reaching, and bending for inventory replenishment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
