A Furniture Retail Sales Associate drives revenue by welcoming customers, understanding their design needs, showcasing furniture, and closing sales. They maintain high showroom standards, provide detailed product knowledge (materials, style, functionality), and manage inventory. Key skills include interior styling knowledge, customer relationship building, and meeting sales targets.
This position is both creative and rigorous by nature you need to think
outside the box. We expect the candidate to be proactive and have a "get it done"
spirit. To be successful, you will have solid solving problem skills.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers, actively listen to their needs, and provide expert design advice to guide purchasing decisions.
- Sales Generation: Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets by using persuasive techniques and product knowledge.
- Showroom Maintenance: Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to merchandising standards.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of materials, styles, functionality, and current promotions.
- Transaction Management: Accurately process sales, returns, and financing options using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
Qualification
- Experience: Proven retail or sales experience, ideally in furniture, home furnishings, or design-driven industries.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Physical Ability: Capability to assist with moving furniture or rearranging displays.
- Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have
- Inventory & Logistics: Assist with receiving stock, restocking, and organizing the warehouse or floor displays.
- Customer Support: Handle inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and follow up on orders to ensure satisfaction.
